Arden Engstrom congratulates Donald Gartner for being selected the teaching technologist of the year by medical technology students. They pose holding the plaque between them, which hung in the pathology department. Three previous winners are also listed on the plaque, although not visible in the image. Gartner shared the honor with Nancy Nielsen (not pictured) who taught blood banking techniques at Lutheran Hospital.
