He discusses being active in athletics in medical school and witnessing a paranephretic procedure during a lecture. He describes working throughout medical school preparing media. He also describes his career in Pierce, Nebraska, delivering babies in a rural environment and being active in the community as mayor. Calvert talks about his family and concludes his interview talking about new specialists in rural hospitals.
